Community Shopping Districts
Like many communities in America's Mid-Atlantic states, the history of the Greater Pittsburgh Area means local communities were founded around Main Street-type thoroughfares that were the earliest centers of trade and commerce. While the Airport Corridor boasts many modern malls, there are still plenty of retail shopping districts that hark back to the days when everybody shopped where they lived. In many cases, these community shopping districts are ideal for food, hardware, household and dining experiences that just can't be duplicated anywhere else.

Carnegie Borough
Carnegie Borough offers a pleasant mall in the center of town featuring shops, dining and other services with a relaxing ambiance complete with pedestrian walkways, park benches and shade trees.

Coraopolis Borough
Situated along the Ohio River, Coraopolis presents a wide variety of shops and services along several blocks at the center of town. Parking is easy and the streets are well marked and handsomely appointed.

McKees Rocks Borough
Just west of the Pittsburgh City Line, at the very head of the Ohio River, McKees Rocks is one of the Airport Corridor's most urban communities, offering comprehensive retail, dining, entertainment and service providers right in the center of town.

Sewickley Borough
A bit further downstream along the Ohio, this is a gracious and historic river town and features an upscale shopping district resplendent with boutiques and specialty shops offering gifts, jewelry, clothing, fine dining, sophisticated art galleries and antiques shops in addition to all the basic goods and services.

Stowe Township
Just downstream from McKees Rocks, Stowe Township boasts a fashionable collection of small businesses where locals can linger and browse or shop in a hurry to find whatever they may need.
