Chamber History
The Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber can trace its roots back to
1904, when it was founded as the Coraopolis Board of Trade.
Reorganized in 1949 as the Coraopolis Chamber of Commerce, the
organization name was changed to Coraopolis Area Chamber of
Commerce, then in 1970, to the Airport Area Chamber of Commerce.
The name change reflected the Chamber's growing sphere of
influence and its ability to attract businesses, professionals and
civic-minded individuals from Coraopolis Borough and Crescent,
Findlay, Moon, Neville, North Fayette and Robinson townships and
other outlying communities to join its ranks.
Strategically located, the Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber of
Commerce is proud to be the voice of businesses in the airport area
corridor municipalities surrounding the Greater Pittsburgh
International Airport. |
