The Governor's Report on State Performance describes the work that was accomplished during the 2006-07 FY by 25 state agencies and offices
that deliver vital services to the People of Pennsylvania in the areas of education, economic and community development, health and human services, consumer protection, environmental protection, public safety, infrastructure, and management of state government.

It's goal is to show Pennsylvania residents how their tax dollars are being used by key commonwealth agencies.

The Budget in Brief describes important proposals that will make our state more prosperous and competitive and build a better future for the next generation of Pennsylvanians.

It includes information on several new initiatives that have been proposed by Gov. Rendell:

- Protecting our Progress stimulus program to help Pennsylvania cope with and offset the adverse effects of the current national economic slowdown

- Rebuilding Pennsylvania infrastructure initiative, which will make significant and much-needed investments in Pennsylvania's bridges and dams

- Historic increases in state funding for Pre-K to 12 education that will help Pennsylvania students meet our nation's No Child Left Behind goals for increased academic achievement.
